Refund Policy
No Refund Policy for Completed Notarial Acts
All notarization services provided by Notary Now and/or the Notary Public, Todd Walters are final once the notarial act has been completed. Under California law, notaries perform official acts under oath and record each action in a notary journal. Because notarial services are time-based, legally binding, and irreversible once completed, we do not offer refunds for any notary services that have been carried out.
This includes, but is not limited to:
• Acknowledgments
• Jurats
• Oaths or Affirmations
• Certified Copies of Powers of Attorney
• Loan Signing and Document Witnessing
Cancellations and Missed Appointments
Same-day cancellations or no-shows will result in the loss of the full depdosit. Deposits are applied to time spent preparing for your visit, travel costs, and calendar block-offdds.
You may forfeit some or all of your deposit under the following conditions, but not limited to:
• Cancelling your appointment less than 24 hours in advance
• Not being present or available at the time of appointment
• Failure to provide proper identification
• Refusal or inability to sign at the scheduled time
• Documents not being ready or presented incorrectly
• Inaccessible or unsafe location that prevents completion of service
• Attempts to alter the scope of services without prior approval
If you need to reschedule or update your appointment, please notify us as early as possible. We are happy to accommodate changes within reason and when proper notice is given.
Quotes and Appointment Deposits
All appointments will receive a written or digital quote summarizing the services requested, number of signers, location, and applicable travel or waiting time. This quote will include a service agreement outlining your requested notarizations and a secure payment link to confirm your booking.
To confirm an appointment, a non-refundable deposit of $15 per person signing is required. Appointments are not held until the deposit is received.
Once you have paid your deposit, payment will serve as your signature entering an agreement and paying the price on the quote. This quote will then become a binding service contract between you (the client) and Notary Now and/or the Notary Public, Todd Walters for the specified services.
